It is one of the treats of the campsite at Vrijenberg that one can go for a day's hike and stay overnight at the campsite at Spelderholt - about 12 miles away
The scouts hiked through the woodland paths, using map &
compass, and all finally found their way.
We dined on canned meals which we heated in large pots of water
A choice of Bolognaise or Goulash mmmmmmm Grrrrrrrrrreat!!!
Then we had to settle down to camp 'under the canopy of heaven' for the night
........ some of the Dutch Scouts had come prepared
........... the rest of us just laid a groundsheet on the
ground and curled up to sleep!!
