No visit to the Netherlands in 1995 would be complete without a visit to the World Jamboree!!
The Dutch Leaders had arranged a BENDY-BUS to take us from the
campsite to the Jamboree at Dronten.
The overall impression was just one of size - the site was HUGE - they told us a mile by a mile and a half and all of it under sea level.
There was so much to see but first we had to visit the UK HQ as
one of our ASLs, Neil Martin, was on duty
.. after many enjoyable hours, in very hot conditions, the
leaders had to have a break.
... but the Scouts were more interested in chatting to
Austrian Girl Scouts!!
All in all "a day to be remembered"
